All transcript requests are processed exclusively online through Parchment, with no in-person services. Students requesting transcripts are encouraged to plan and submit their request to Parchment on time to ensure deadlines are met.

What Kind of Transcript Can I Order?

Official Transcript- Official copy sent directly to employers, colleges, and other institutions.

Official Sealed Transcript to Another Individual- Official copy sent to the student in a sealed envelope. This type of request typically includes other documents (i.e. licensure forms, application packages, etc). The name of the institution and contact person MUST be provided to process third-party transcript requests.

Important Reminders

1. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. S.1232g) protects the confidentiality of student education records. Student records CANNOT be released without the student’s authorization.
2. Students must confirm the accuracy of the address/ recipient information before submitting the transcript request. If this information is incorrect and cannot be delivered, you will have to request and pay for another official transcript with the correct address.

What if I need a student copy of my transcript right away?

All transcript requests are online through Parchment. Please email mecregistrar@mec.cuny.edu if you have extenuating circumstances that require a more prompt response.

Under what circumstances will my transcript be held?

The College reserves the right to withhold all information on the record of any student who has not fulfilled financial and other responsibilities to the College, including payment of student loans.
