Special/Unusual Circumstances

It will take the Office of Financial Aid approximately 4-6 weeks to review all Professional Judgment request contingent that all requested and required information get submitted on time.

• Income Adjustments An Income Adjustment is considered when significant changes in income have occurred to a student and/or their parent(s). Consideration will be given when the income information reported on the FAFSA no longer accurately reflects the student’s and/or family’s ability to contribute toward the student’s education as they could before.
• Dependency Override The Dependency Status Override appeal is applicable to students currently experiencing a severe family situation that prevents them from being able to obtain parental information of any kind to report on the FAFSA.
