I was born in Soviet Union and got all my education there. After graduating from Tomsk State University in 1973 with Masters Degree in Mathematics I worked 11 years in the same university in the Department of General Mathematics where I taught mostly Calculus. In 1984 I started to work in Tomsk Pedagogical University in the Department of Algebra and Geometry. I taught Linear Algebra, abstract Algebra, Analytical Geometry, Differential Geometry, Non-Euclidean Geometry. In 1989 I defended dissertation on some topics in the Theory of Abelian Groups in Moscow Pedagogical University and got PhD degree. I emigrated in United States of America in 1993. Almost immediately I started to work in Medgar Evers College in Department of Mathematics. The first semester I worked as a volunteer, the next semester as Adjunct Professor and then full time Assistant Professor. In 2003 I was promoted to Associate Professor and still work on this position. I taught in Medgar Evers College almost all courses – from remediation to upper level courses.
