Sharon Hamilton, born in Georgetown, Guyana, is a lecturer at Medgar Evers College in the Department of Mathematics. She teaches Intermediate Algebra and Trigonometry. As a lecturer, Sharon strives to make mathematics relatable and to teach, support and encourage students in her classes as they take their first college level math course. Sharon earned a BA in Psychology and a BS in Mathematics from Medgar Evers College in 2005 and 2014 respectively; she also earned a MA in IO Psychology and MA in Secondary Education – Mathematics from Brooklyn College in 2009 and 2018 respectively. In her spare time, Sharon loves to bake and do DIY craft projects.
