Bio

Hello, my name is Kenneth Binns, and I am a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at Medgar Evers College. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy analyzing data on spreadsheets or playing sports outdoors. I hold a master’s degree in mathematics from the City University of New York, City College, and have over 20 years of experience teaching mathematics. I have also taught and collaborated with directors of several well-established programs, including College Now, Urban Scholars, Harlem Scholars, and the City College Academy of the Arts. My desire to help others excel and realize their full potential serves as my inspiration for teaching. The classroom has been my laboratory, where I continuously test and refine my teaching style, classroom management strategies, and effectiveness. My goal is to foster intellectual engagement, empowering students to use mathematics as a tool to understand and respond to the world around them.
