Dr. Valverde works in the areas of Number Theory, Automorphic Forms and Representation Theory. Broadly, he is interested in problems of local orthogonal distinction over non-archimedean fields, as well as global distinction on some classical groups and their covers by use of Relative Trace Formulas.
