Dr. Franzeska Sampson – Faculty Spotlight

Dr. Franzeska Sampson is the Field Education Director and Lecturer in the Social Work Department at Medgar Evers College. She is also an adjunct professor at Grand Canyon University in the College of Humanities & Social Sciences Department. As a proud graduate of the social work program, she believes in the success of the department and supports, promotes, and empowers students so that they too can tell their success stories. Dr. Sampson has self-published several books: 52 Weeks of Mental Wellness, using Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, co-author of Taking Care of Our Mental Health: From a Christian Perspective, and the soon-to-be-released Breaking Barriers: Black Women in Leadership Roles, to name a few. She enjoys charitable community work and has networked and collaborated with several nonprofit organizations serving vulnerable groups. Dr. Sampson is happy to establish and grow her career at Medgar Evers.
