Dr. Deborah Greenblatt Faculty Spotlight

Dr. Greenblatt has a Ph.D. in Urban Education from The CUNY Graduate Center, focusing on educational policy and leadership. Her research focuses on social justice, equity, and democracy in teaching and teacher education. Dr. Greenblatt co-authors Reimaging American Education to Serve All our Children: Why do we Educate in a Democracy? Recently, she has been writing about multicultural children’s literature and fighting white supremacy and Christian nationalism. She is also conducting research on liberatory practices in online higher education. She loves children’s literature and was a public elementary school teacher for many years.
