Litha

Litha, also known as Midsummer or the Summer Solstice, is a pagan holiday that celebrates the longest day of the year and the beginning of summer. It’s one of eight sabbats in the Wiccan calendar and is part of the Wheel of the Year, a cycle of seasonal celebrations that represent the cycle of life, death, and rebirth.

Traditions/ Practices: Those celebrating create a sacred space outdoors, with leaders walking around an area and chanting while sprinkling the area with water and salt, which are believed to be spiritually cleansing.
