Tech Partnership with School Of Business

MEC’s School of Business is working with public and private partners to bring advanced technology into the classroom. Norwegian based AI Accounting software firm, 24SevenOffice, and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), are working with the school to expose students to the latest accounting software and give them access to advanced technology such as artificial intelligence (AI). School of Business Dean Dr. Jo-Ann Rolle said this partnership would give MEC students a competitive edge.

“The AI software partnership agreement, which is effective immediately, includes faculty training, support, and professional development.” Rolle continued, “The software will be introduced to Professor Michael Tucker’s Accounting class this semester.”

NYSSCPA’s relationship with MEC will yield scholarships, soft skills Bootcamps, student professional development, and a career fair. Rolle said the end goal is to give students access, preparation, and an awareness of industry technology and to establish professional networks for MEC students.
