SoulFest Raises Thousands For Scholarships

decorativeThe College’s annual SoulFest raised more than $5,000 for student scholarships on Saturday, September 14. The outdoor event features food, music, games, and vendors who sell a variety of goods. For the first time, the event was held in the parking lot behind Academic Building 1 (AB1). Organizers Marsha Escayg and Dexter Roberts said SoulFest has become a wonderful tradition for the College and this year more staff and alum participated.

“This year we had 42 vendors and five of them were Medgar alum,” said Marsha Escayg. Several staff members were also vendors and participated in events like the local talent showcase.

The event also featured a raffle with several high-end prizes including a GoPro video camera, 43″ flat-screen TV, and Air Pods.
