There’s more hardware coming back to 1150 Carroll Street.

For the second time in less than a week, the Medgar Evers College track-and-field program pulled off a first — this time for both full teams competing in the prestigious Eastern Conference Athletic Conference (ECAC) championships at the same time.

And they thrived.

After a 6 a.m. wakeup call and long bus drive down to Owings Mill, MD, the women’s team finished third and the men fourth.

There were plenty of individual accolades along the way — worthy of a moment to take a few pics before making the trek back to campus on the same night.

Women’s individual highlights

For the women, Nana Samake won the 10,000 meters, while coming in fifth in the 5,000 meters.

Aaliyah Bartholomew was fourth in the 100-meter hurdles, while also placing fifth in the 400-meter hurdles. She was also second in the high jump and fourth in the long jump.

Jada Lambert was fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

The 4×100 relay team of Lambert, Deja Davis, Desireth Ramirez and Imani Richardson finished third, while the 4×400 team of Davis, Lambert, Metra and Ramirez were fourth.

Nia Butler placed fifth in the women’s shotput, while Ramirez was fifth in the triple jump.

Men’s individual highlights

On the men’s side, Jaheim Johnson won the javelin competition, with teammate Chrisnel Nicolas coming in third.

Johnson would also finish third in the 200 meters.

Isaac Akindipe was fourth in the 110-meter hurdles, while Saibo Ceesay was fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

The 4×100 relay team of Isaac Akindipe, Rupert Luard-Charles, Dontay Washington and Jahiem Johnson finished fourth.
