CUNY Citizenship Now! Offers TPS Help

CUNY Citizenship Now! will be at Medgar Evers College on Tuesday, December 12 and Tuesday, December 19 to offer free help with Haitian Temporary Protected Status (TPS) Employment Authorization Document (EAD) renewals.  Haitian TPS is scheduled to end on July 22, 2019. If your work authorization expires on January 22, 2018 you are encouraged to apply for a renewal.

CALL NOW FOR AN APPOINTMENT: 646-664-9400. Appointments are strongly encouraged.

Help will be available from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 1638 Bedford Avenue, in the second floor cafeteria. Attorneys will be available, as will screening to determine if attendees are eligible for other benefits. Volunteers and staff will assist in completing applications.  Haitian Creole translators are still needed.

BRING TO YOUR APPOINTMENT:

  • A copy of your past TPS registration application
  • All of your Haitian passports
  • 2017 TPS approval notice [if no approval notice received yet, then I-821 Receipt Notice]
  • 2017 work permit [if no work permit received yet, then I-765 Receipt Notice]
  • If you ever traveled with TPS advance parole, your most recent advance parole document
  • All certificates of disposition for arrests and MTA citations
  • Fee waiver documents (Medicaid letter or 2016 U.S. taxes plus last 4 pay stubs for all employed household members)
