The Office of Financial Aid’s core mission is to ensure that all eligible students enrolled at Medgar Evers College apply and benefit from both Federal and State Financial assistance (including grants, loans, and work-study programs) for education beyond high school.

Students can view their financial aid status by logging into their CUNYfirst account and following the CUNYfirst View Financial Aid Status instructions.
Important Dates, Announcements and Tools
All student must be enrolled in their classes by January 31, 2024 by 11:59 p.m. for those courses to be eligible for financial aid.
To remain eligible for State aid which includes TAP and Excelsior you must have taken and pass the ATB exam by February 14, 2024 if you hold a foreign High School Diploma.
To remain eligible for State Aid which includes TAP and Excelsior you must declare their Major/Minor by February 14, 2024.
Available Now
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2023 – 2024 Academic Year (Summer 2023, Fall 2023 and Spring 2024) is available. Please note some funds are limited, so it’s a good idea to apply as soon as possible. You will need 2021 income tax information to complete the FAFSA.
The Excelsior Scholarship application for the Spring 2024 is now available. New applicants can apply using the following link: Excelsior Scholarship Application. The application deadline is February 2, 2024.

Campus Logic Student Forms
The Office of Financial Aid is now using a new online platform called Student Forms for students to securely submit all 2023-2024 Verification and most other FAFSA related documentation. Student Forms provides a single secure portal for all FAFSA related document submission making submission faster and easier.
