Ethan Gologor, Ph.D

Biography

Dr. Ethan Gologor earned his B.S. in Mathematics from CCNY, his M.A. in Philosophy from NYU and his Ph.D. in Psychology from the New School. He is a NYS licensed Psychologist and during his tenure at Medgar he has been Chairman of the Psychology Department for ten years and Dean of Liberal Arts for seven. His research and writing interests span a wide range, from sport to religion to parenting, and he has served as a volunteer in many capacities and locales—as a Peace Corps teacher in Somalia, as a counselor in post 9-11 and during Covid, and as a Captain of the “Psyching Team” in the NY Marathon for seventeen years. He is currently spearheading the interfaith efforts of the College to fight hate, particularly, anti-Semitism.
