Navigate For StudentsThe Office of Academic Affairs at Medgar Evers College has partnered with the EAB Student Success Collaborative to help our students succeed! Navigate is a platform that combines predictive analytics and communication tools for academic advising and tutoring. Students can use Navigate to connect with their team of advisors, schedule advising sessions, retrieve advising notes, connect with campus resources and leverage advising tools.

How it works

NAVIGATE (formerly known as CAMPUS) is a cloud-based student support tool that helps university stakeholders connect with students and uses predictive analytics to alert advisors, staff, and students if a student is veering off the path to graduation.

Why Use Navigate Student?

  • Get Step-by-step Guidance: Navigate Student is a free mobile app that will help you succeed at Medgar Evers College. It’s your very own personal advisor.
  • Make Connections: Whether you’re looking for academic advising, tutoring, counseling, or professional support, NAVIGATE STUDENT will connect you to the right people and resources on campus.
  • Connect to the support you need faster: Have questions or run into a problem? NAVIGATE STUDENT appointment scheduler get you in touch with the people who can help. Best of all, appointments can sync with your phone’s calendar.
  • Never miss important events or deadlines: NAVIGATE STUDENT’s academic calendar feature integrates with your smartphone, so you’re ready for everything! Plus, you can add your reminders and to-dos.
  • Major Explorer: Match your interests and career goals with the right major, look at transferrable skills, and career options for each major.
  • Topics: Step-by-step tips on paying for college, making degree progress, getting involved on campus, and much more.
  • Class Schedule: View your class schedule and easily connect with professors.
  • Hold Center: Connect to the right office so you can quickly resolve holds.

Quick Start Guide for Navigate

Download Navigate for free in the App Store or Google Play by searching for “Navigate Student.” For the desktop version, go to https://mec-cuny.navigate.eab.com/ using your same username and password that you use for all your other Medgar Evers College accounts.

Can you get to Medgar Evers College sign-on webpage? If you get this far but your credentials are rejected by Medgar Evers College’s sign-on page, there is an issue with the school account. Try resetting your password. If you successfully enter your credentials, but Navigate says, “Uh-oh” or “Something went wrong,” EAB must not have your username in their system. Contact the Help Desk with your full name, username, and email address.

Try a hard close and relaunch the app. For iOS, double click the Home button then swipe the app preview away to “hard close.” On Android, open the app manager view and slide the app preview away to “hard close.”

In the More tab, there’s a link called Notification Settings where you can personalize your notification preferences.

Holds are updated every 24 hours in Navigate, so check back tomorrow to see if it’s successfully been resolved in Navigate. If the issue persists, contact the Help Desk.

Navigate For Faculty & StaffThe goal for Medgar Evers College’s partnership with EAB’s platform Navigate is to help improve retention and graduation rates by identifying areas of additional support needed for students to complete their degrees and suggest roadmaps to a degree based on their academic strengths and past successes.

The data in Navigate is refreshed each night via a feed from PowerCampus.

No, the student view is limited. Students only have access to schedule appointments.

Yes, student notes in EAB Navigate are part of a student’s educational record and subject to FERPA.

EAB Navigate identifies different “roles” within the tool, which depend on your job responsibilities. If you are interested in how these roles are determined, please contact Karen Mitchell at kmitchell@mec.cuny.edu.

Yes, there are various scheduled trainings throughout the year facilitated by our EAB Navigate team. Additionally, there are a variety of resources and guides on the site for users to review. The EAB Navigate Help Center is also a great resource for tips and tutorials – just click on the “?” in the top right corner when you’re logged into the platform.
