About The Security and Public Safety Department
Medgar Evers College maintains a full-time, 24 hours-a-day Security and Public Safety Department. All uniformed officers are Peace Officers registered with the New York City Police Department. Peace Officers have full investigative, and arrest authority on campus property. The Department employs 23 uniformed patrol officers and supervisors.
