 RESERVE COLLECTION

The Reserve Collection is composed of books and other materials placed on reserve by
instructors for required reading or to supplement class instruction. Reserved materials are
shelved behind the circulation counter and must be requested at the counter. In most cases
a Call Number is needed for the request. The materials can only be used under special
restricted conditions. Most are slated for “In the Library Only” and must be read in the Library
 when it is open.

The fines on overdue reserve books are much higher because the materials are in very heavy
demand and students need them to complete assignments. Only ONE item at a time may be
 borrowed!
 OVERDUE RESERVE MATERIALS

Fines for overdue reserve books are 5 cents per minute.

 Faculty:
Submit your list of required materials you wish to be placed on reserve by completing the Reserves
Requests form(s) and returning it to the Library, Bedford Building, Room 1003E, prior to the
semester in question. Reserve requests that are continuous should be so noted on the Reserve
Request form(s). Personal copies of materials are accepted, but the library will not be held
responsible for lost, theft or damage to items. Also , please forward the syllabus for each course in
order to further assist us in ordering your reserve materials and helping to assist the students. The
availability of reserve materials to students will be determined by the speed with which faculty
 submit their requests.
